Well, Idont think the cell reproducing rapidily is making cathy's time slow down. Its kind of like (making a refrence here) Twilight, The vampires from twilight live forever once they turn, and then time just seems like a breeze, or the centuries just seem like 1 year, something like that.

So maybe since shes being immortal, its like when shes starting to turn into an immortal? Reason behind this theory is: How did the immortals get to their age? They must have grown for some time and then just stoped at their current "age" right? they cant have just (excuse the crudeness) "popped out" as their current looks right? So maybe this is the interphase between stoping becoming mortal and going into immortallity right?

It could make sense because IF her dad is an immortal, then cant the gene be passed down? maybe since victor took the test before time started to slow down for her, the gene couldnt really be scene, even if it was recessive somethimes the gnene could be hidden, you never know since we ARE dealing with the supernatural, maybe the immortal gene only shows when yu are actually becoming immortal?

Is my theory crazy? xDD

the immortal gene is turned on at near death experiences. [spoiler] victor was in the mine when it crashed, turning him into an immortal.

you know what, thats like a really good idea!!!! smart! u could SO be right, i mean you never know what the author(s) are planning for the book. wow...she COULD be immortal!!!!!!! and nice reference btw, TWILIGHT ROX!

I never really thought of it like that. You're saying that maybe (since I guess it's hereditary?) Cathy has the gene and it's just turning her into an immortal currently? I always just kind of accepted the negative lab results to disprove that theory.
