Have you ever wondered why victor became immortal at 21 while Lu is stuck at age like 51 or something? Is there something that needs to happen to turn their immortality genes on or does it just happen??/

Immortality is triggered by a specific event in their lives, which can happen at any age.

The "specific event" might be a near death experience.
